Heather Hui-Litwin takes you on a hands-on tour of CanLII, a free database which contains legislation, case law and legal commentaries. You will be introduced to keyword searches, how to sort and filter your results, and nifty tricks on how to use operators to refine your search, so that you don’t end up with thousands of results!
Participants will work along on their individual computer terminals.
An assignment will be given at the workshop for attendees to practise what they have learned. Attendees who submit the assignment are eligible for advanced level, in-person workshops on legal research. They will be contacted by email for invitations to these workshops.
Please submit your workshop assignments to email@example.com
